The G7 reaffirms its desire to maintain pressure on Moscow


WEISSENHAUS, Germany, May 14 (Reuters) – G7 foreign ministers pledged on Saturday to amplify Russia’s economic and political isolation, continue to supply arms to Ukraine and respond to the “wheat war” being waged by Moscow.

The G7 will provide military support to Kyiv “as long as necessary”, a statement said.

“We will step up our efforts to reduce and end our dependence on and purchases of Russian energy resources and, as quickly as possible, implement the G7 commitments to cease or ban the import of Russian oil and gas.” , says the G7.

Britain, Canada, Germany, France, Italy, Japan, the United States and the European Union also intend to fight the disinformation of which Moscow is guilty and ask China to s refrain from helping Russia or justifying Russian military intervention in Ukraine.
