The Galaxy S21/22, Fold 3/4 and Flip 3/4 will be entitled to Android 13 before the end of the year

Samsung plays the good students. While Android 13 was released last month, the South Korean manufacturer is already working to deploy this OS on most of its high-end smartphones. According to information obtained by the SamMobile site, the update should arrive before the end of 2022 for the most popular models in the catalog.

List of eligible models

The new version of Android, which Samsung will accompany with a facelift of its One UI overlay, should be released before 2023 on the following models:

Samsung promises four years of updates

If most of the mobiles eligible for this future update come from Samsung’s premium catalog, it is pleasant to see that the South Korean manufacturer is also thinking of owners of less expensive phones. Recently, the phone giant promised four years of major updates and five years of security updates for some of its phones. The A53 therefore seems to be one of the lucky ones.

Note that only mobiles are listed that should receive Android 13 before the end of the year. It’s highly likely that Samsung will roll out updates to other phone models in 2023, or so we hope given the plethora of models in the manufacturer’s catalog. The update to the new version of Android follows a long period of beta testing, which allowed Samsung to identify potential bugs and other system instabilities.
