The Galaxy S23 Ultra retains the design of the S22 even in the arrangement of the photo modules

The Galaxy S23 Ultra is not going to shake up Samsung’s aesthetic language. A priorithe future ultra high-end smartphone from Samsung should look a lot like its predecessor, down to the arrangement of the photo block.

The release of the Galaxy S23, S23+ and S23 Ultra is not scheduled before 2023, but that does not prevent rumors of all kinds from already circulating. A few days ago, we learned for example that the S23 Ultra would look a lot like its predecessor. New leaks confirm this point a little more.

A photo block like on the S22 Ultra

The always very well informed Ice Universe Twitter account has indeed confirmed that the design of the S23 Ultra will not change particularly, even on the side of the arrangement of the photo modules. “The Samsung S23 Ultra will keep the exact same design for its cameras as the S22 Ultra“says the one who has rarely been wrong about this kind of rumour. Samsung’s next high-end mobile will therefore always have 4 photo modules properly aligned on the back of the phone. The laser autofocus and the flash should also find the same place than on the S22 Ultra.

But beware, if Samsung will therefore probably keep the aesthetics inaugurated with the S22 line, this does not mean that there will be no change in the bowels of the phone. At the beginning of August, the same Twitter account told us that the mobile will probably carry a 200 Mpx Isocell HP2 sensor to capture your best shots. This novelty will just be hidden behind a design that, for once, will remain the same.

Features designed to convince

Until then, Samsung has indeed regularly changed the design of its high-end mobiles. Since the S21, however, the changes are more minor and it would therefore seem that Samsung persists and signs in its aesthetic choices with the S23 series. Rather than highlighting hardware and cosmetic changes, the S23 Ultra will therefore have to convince with its technical sheet and its features. After all, the iPhone doesn’t change its design every year either. This change in tone would therefore be rather welcome and would provide aesthetic coherence to the Korean manufacturer’s mobile catalog.

As for the rest of the features, the S23 Ultra should have a 6.8-inch Oled panel, a 5000 mAh battery, a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip and of course One UI 5.1 and Android 13 at the controls of the software. It could even be that the phone has an ultrasonic 3D fingerprint sensor, the same as in the Vivo X80. This information is obviously to be taken with a grain of salt, as the phone is not expected for several months. But the various leaks allow at least to have an idea of what Samsung is preparing: a phone that will trade style effects to focus on pure performance.
