The Gilded Age Season 2: Plot

The Season 1 finale of “The Gilded Age” focused on whether Mrs. Astor will attend Gladys Russell’s debutante ball, thereby allowing Bertha to enter high society, which she desperately longs for.

There was also the question of whether Marian would run away with Mr. Raikes (Thomas Cocquerel). Season 2 will pick up where these stories left off. The series creators will also introduce some new characters, such as the famous black newspaper editor T. Thomas Fortune (Sullivan Jones), in whom Peggy discovers her activist spirit.

Season two will begin on Easter morning 1883 and will immediately bring bad news: Bertha Russell’s application for a box at the Academy of Music has been rejected. During the 8th episodes of the new season, we will see how Bertha and Mrs. Astor fought back against the old system and tried not only to gain a foothold in society, but also to lead it.
