Stage comebacks, moving moments, a lot of atmosphere and good ratings: these were the highlights of the summer edition of the “Giovanni Zarrella Show”.

Once again on Saturday evening (July 22) “The Giovanni Zarrella Show” went live on ZDF. As previously announced, Giovanni Zarrella (45) invited a mix of German hit stars and international music legends on stage for his big summer party. Emotions and tears were inevitable. However, one musician canceled at short notice.

Ella Endlich talks about her baby

Among other things, Ella Endlich (39) celebrated her stage comeback after a long baby break. In June it became known that the singer had become the mother of a boy. On stage, she raved about her son on Saturday night: “He’s just magical, he makes us so happy.” Being back on stage is great fun for her. But she doesn’t want to “miss a moment at home, of course, this time is so special and magical”.

In addition to Ella Endlich, Kerstin Ott (41) and Anna-Carina Woitschack (30) also celebrated their return to television after a long break. The latter in particular was visibly nervous on stage after she had performed her song “Tag 1”. “Look, my knees are shaking,” she said to Zarrella. “I think you were the most excited of all the artists,” the moderator noted. Woitschack nodded, but then thanked the audience for thunderous applause.

The US pop star Michael Bolton (70), who has returned with new music after 14 years, provided international glamor and plenty of emotions. He first sang his new single “Beautiful World”, then he performed his world hit “How Am I Supposed To Live Without You” with Zarrella. Tears welled up in the host’s eyes: “Michael, an incredible moment for us. Every big party also needs emotional moments.”

That’s why Michelle was absent

One who missed the musical spectacle was pop singer Michelle (51), who was also on the guest list. Zarrella explained that she canceled at short notice, “she kind of upset her stomach”. He wished her a speedy recovery and “a lot of amore – and then hopefully see you next time”.

The whole Zarrella family in the audience and good ratings

As usual, Giovanni Zarrella received family support for his live show. His parents, wife Jana Ina Zarrella (46) with girlfriend Monica Ivancan (46) and brother Stefano Zarrella (32) found themselves in the front row in the audience and partied diligently.

Overall, “The Giovanni Zarrella Show” was able to achieve strong ratings. 3.40 million people watched on Saturday night, which corresponds to a market share of 18.0 percent.
