The Golden Hen: Prize awarded despite corona pandemic

The "Goldene Henne" audience award will also be given in 2020 despite the Corona crisis. The live show will take place on October 30th as planned.

Despite the still prevailing Corona crisis, the audience award "Die Goldene Henne" is awarded to fan favorites and well-known personalities. This was confirmed by the magazine "Superillu", one of the organizers, on Tuesday. The Mitteldeutsche Rundfunk (MDR) is also on board again.

Kai plum moderated

The associated live show from Leipzig will be broadcast on October 30th from 8:15 p.m. by the MDR. However, there should not be a live audience in 2020 due to applicable corona restrictions. Kai Pflaume (53) will take over the moderation again. This year, the event will take place in a studio instead of in an exhibition hall.

"We are very sad that we cannot present the 'Goldene Henne 2020' in the usual way due to the corona pandemic," MDR entertainment chief Peter Dreckmann is quoted by "Superillu". Despite the restrictions, the price should again be "surprising, exciting and emotional".
