Google is about to introduce a new smart phone. In any case, this is what the latest rumors say, which suggest a launch of the Pixel 6a next month.
Corridor rumors about this Google Pixel 6a have been circulating for several weeks. Last January, some indiscretions seemed to indicate that the phone from the American firm would land in May 2022. A credible hypothesis, since the Pixel 3a had been launched in May 2019, when the Pixel 4a and 5a had to wait until the month of August of their respective year.
Launch imminent!
Today is the site DroidLife which tells us that the Google Pixel 6a has been registered with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in the United States. Such a step generally indicates that the product concerned is about to be marketed. And since luck does things well, Google will hold its I/O 2022 event from May 11. An announcement of the smartphone on this occasion is therefore not to be excluded.
According to the first leaks, the Pixel 6a would take over the main lines of the design of the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro. It would carry a 6.2-inch OLED panel as well as necessarily lower performance than those of the two models mentioned above. On the photo side, a 12.2 Mpx Sony IMX363 sensor could be associated with an ultra-wide-angle 12 Mpx Sony IMX365 on the back of the phone. Now we just have to wait for a proper announcement.
