The Google Pixel 7 wins a duel against its predecessor, the Google Pixel 6

Released last year, the Google Pixel 6 had won 5 stars without being perfect on all points. The Pixel 7 therefore had the task of improving its shortcomings while maintaining the performance of its predecessor. Even before sifting through its technical prowess, the appearance of the new model already shows an improvement: if the design remains more or less the same, the bar which accommodates the photo modules has an aluminum finish. More compact, it is therefore lighter, with 10 g less on the scale.

The Pixel 7 is racing ahead

If the Pixel 6 screen was honorable, that of the Pixel 7 is much more convincing. From a 6.4 inch panel to a 6.3 inch panel, the difference does not seem pharaonic, but it is the image rendering that makes the difference. First with a much better colorimetry, a delta E at 1.4 (versus 2.2) and a color temperature pointing to 6881 K. The brightness completes the performance of the Pixel 7, since with a peak at 1157 cd/ m², the maximum brightness is twice that of the Pixel 6. The minimum brightness remains the same, however.

Within it, the Pixel 7 still has a house chip from Google, but a revised and corrected version called Tensor G2. The newcomer is therefore obviously more powerful thanks to the integral design of the device by Google, which makes it possible to make the most of its technology. And if the Pixel 7 can be excellent in game, especially with its 90 frames per second, you will have to be wary of overheating which can be a little excessive when the phone is pushed to its limits.

It is therefore almost a full box from the Pixel 7, but its opponent is still doing well with honors. The youngest from Google hands down its mission of erasing the flaws of its predecessor while offering significant improvements.
