The Google One service is mainly for larger cloud storage space. The firm also offers some attractive features, such as a VPN (depending on the plan chosen) or additional photo editing tools. The Californian giant has just announced that the Magic Eraser will now be usable for all its subscribers.
The latter is very useful, because it allows you to remove any object or person from a snapshot. It is even possible to change the color of a specific element. Presented when the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro were released, we even dedicated an article to it.
The Magic Eraser will therefore no longer be exclusive to Google mobiles and will be active on all Android and iOS smartphones with the Google Photos app connected to a One account. Holders of a Pixel model, even prior to 6, will be able to use it without said account. Alas, the feature will not be available on the Google Photos web app.
Google says subscribers will be able to apply an automatic HDR filter to their videos. In the past, this only worked on still images. These same subscribers can also take advantage of free shipping for their photo prints from the Google Store.
The deployment of the update has started in the United States, while waiting (a little) for our turn. The Mountain View company is not the only one to offer this type of tool, but its works particularly well. Previously the selling point of its smartphones, choosing it as a gateway to its subscription seems wise.
