The great saga of France Télévisions: what is the concept of this program?

Regular viewers of France 2 will be able to discover a brand new show on Saturday September 17, 2022. On that day, the public channel will broadcast in prime time The great saga of France Télévisions, which will be embodied by two emblematic faces of public service, journalist Leïla Kaddour and host Laurent Ruquier. “September 1992: French viewers discover the new identity of public channels under the name of France Television. 30 years later, Leïla Kaddour and Laurent Ruquier celebrate The great saga of France Télévisons : an exceptional dive into the heart of the archives of the group’s branches, a journey of nearly three decades, where cult and rare images come together from our flagship programs that have marked the PAF at different times“, has indicated France 2 in his press release.

“Don’t forget the lyrics, See you in unknown territory, It’s up for discussion, Bouillon de culture, Everybody talks about it or Pyramid and This is not rocket science… these shows have marked generations of viewers. In 30 years, France Télévisions has built up a veritable rich, varied and inspiring audiovisual heritage. Beyond a plethora of emblematic programs to discover or rediscover, this new issue of The Great Saga looks back on television moments that have marked the French: sporting exploits, major live events, shocking confessions… A panorama which would not however be complete without the presence of cult sequences taken from the games, and the first TV sets of talented comedians discovered on the public service (Florence ForestiLaurent Gerra, Jonathan Lambert…)“, added the public channel.

The great saga of France Télévisions: a program divided into 11 distinct themes

In total, no less than 11 themes will be addressed within this program: “30 years of laughter and revealed talents, 30 years of iconic games, 30 years of music in the spotlight, 30 years of irreverence, 30 years of live events, 30 years of confessions, 30 years of culture and knowledge, 30 years of investigation and decoding, 30 years of escape and encounters, 30 years of sporting escape, 30 years of daily proximity“.
