The hole in the cutting board: did you know this handy feature?


A common annoyance when cutting vegetables and co.: If the ingredients are chopped up, it is often not that easy to get them from the cutting board into the pot or pan. Something often goes wrong here if you are not particularly careful.

This is exactly where the opening on the cutting boards comes into play: If you want to avoid spills, you can simply hold the hole directly over the pot or pan and place the cut ingredients through the opening in the cookware. Of course, the prerequisite is that this is big enough, because on some cutting boards the hole is really only intended for hanging up the board and is correspondingly small. In future, nothing will go wrong – everything that falls into the hole ends up directly in the pan, everything that remains on the board on the first try follows on the second try.
