The Hyper Light Breaker roguelite shows its open world in video

In the last Dev log put online by Heart Machine, the American developers announced the postponement of their next title to the end of 2023. Published by Gearbox Publishing, Hyper Light Breaker is very ambitious in its intentions. Roguelite playable in cooperation up to three simultaneously, HLB keeps Heart Machine’s unique graphic style and will offer a randomly generated open world, but with created elements”by hand“.

Thus, each run within the many biomes that will offer HLB will be radically different from the previous one. A point on which Alx Preston, Creative Director at Heart Machine largely highlights: “*By playing Hyper Light Breaker, you will find that you are in an open world that you can only explore once. Once you die or complete a run, you’ll never see that same world again — in its place, there will be a whole new one to explore. Each new generated world may have dynamic global components that may affect the run or the game. For this reason, Hyper Light Breaker will be the first game in the open-world-roguelite genre, and we can’t wait for Breakers to explore the Overgrowth and see for themselves the endless worlds at their disposal*!”

The latest trailer released during the Xbox Games Showcase Extended 2023 provides a broad overview of the biomes that the Breakers will have to cross, without forgetting to highlight some bosses, which look like not stung beetles (expression we can no longer boomerish, we grant you). Whether Hyper Light Breaker is expected for the end of 2023 only on PC for the moment, we can reasonably hope for a console release thereafter.
