Hyundai is (already?) changing its Ioniq 5 electric SUV
.

A new version is coming soon and alternates between optimizations and new features.

Already a new version for the Hyundai Ioniq 5

Available in dealerships for less than a year, the Hyundai Ioniq 5 SUV, the spearhead of the manufacturer’s electric range, will experience a major upgrade this year. This new version will bring its share of improvements, especially on the battery.

This new Hyundai Ioniq 5 2023 (whose orders are scheduled for this spring) will thus have a new 77.4 kWh battery, compared to 72.6 kWh at present. What boost the autonomy of a few kilometers. Note that the 58.2 kWh battery will still be offered in concessions.

Hyundai explains that a new battery preconditioning function will allow the vehicle to automatically adapt the temperature of its battery during the journey, to ensure optimal charging conditions when it reaches the charging station.

This is not the only novelty, since this 2023 version of the Hyundai Ioniq 5 will also have camera mirrors. And that’s not all: inside, the rearview mirror will broadcast the video captured by a camera placed at the rear of the vehicle.

To this will also be added an optimization of the shock absorbers at the rear (Smart Frequency Dampers), for better general comfort. On the Hyundai side, we obviously want to defend its position in the face of an (electric) segment that is becoming increasingly competitive.
