They are in the final! The Argentinians gathered in Buenos Aires were exulted on Tuesday, December 13, after the victory of the Argentinian football team in the semi-finals of the 2022 World Cup. The team led by Lionel Messi beat Croatia by three goals to nil.
Thousands of fans gathered to watch the match in a special area on Tuesday in the capital. The three Argentine goals were followed by outpourings of joy.
The Argentina team qualifies for the sixth time in the World Cup final. Winners in 1978 and 1986, they lost their last two finals, in 1990 against West Germany and in 2014 against Germany. They will play against France or Morocco on Sunday, December 17.
