The Intern: why France 3 is only broadcasting one new episode this evening

While “The Intern”, carried by Michèle Bernier, has always been broadcast at the rate of two episodes per week, France 3 will only offer one new investigation from season 8 from this Tuesday, September 5. We explain why.

Bad news for fans of La Stagiaire with Michèle Bernier: France 3 has decided to change the series’ broadcast rate.

After broadcasting the first two episodes of season 8 last Tuesday, the channel will only offer one new investigation per evening from this Tuesday, September 5 at 9:10 p.m.

Composed of six episodes in all, this eighth unpublished batch of the adventures of Constance Meyer and judge Boris Delcourt (Antoine Hamel) will therefore end on September 26 on the air.

The Intern continues to be a hit on France 3

If France 3 made such a decision, it is quite simply because La Stagiaire continues, season after season, to meet with great success. As proof, the detective series also worn by Philippe Lelièvre and Nicolas Marié again gathered an average of 4.16 million viewers last week during the launch of its season 8, thus allowing France 3 to be largely the leader ahead of The Voice Kids. on TF1.

While season 7, offered last fall, had gathered an average of 4.51 million followers on watch audience.

In order to continue to ensure good audience scores in its police box on Tuesday evening, France 3 has therefore chosen to prolong the pleasure and to stretch the broadcast of this new burst of episodes as much as possible.

A decision which can be understood but which could well disappoint fans of The Intern, who were used to devouring their favorite series at the rate of two episodes each week. Indeed, it is the first time since the launch of the series in 2015 that the channel broadcasts only one new per evening.

Fans of La Stagiaire will however be able to take comfort in knowing that Michèle Bernier and her playmates will be back next year for new investigations since season 9 has already been shot.

In short, Constance Meyer’s internship looks more and more like a CDI in disguise, and the fans shouldn’t complain about it, quite the contrary.
