When many of us were teenagers, Lem gave us a vision of the future that seemed surreal. As a reader, I couldn’t imagine the world of The Invincible being more tangible than that depicted in the game. As a Polish publisher, whose mission is to present meaningful entertainment, we couldn’t let pass the opportunity to undertake a game based on such an important element of Polish cultural heritage as Lem’s book.

A game eagerly awaited by science fiction fans.

In Invincibleyou embody Yasnaan astrobiologist who wakes up on the surface of the planet Regis III. You must then set off in search of your missing crew in a most hostile environment. By exploring the planet, Yasna will quickly understand that this inhospitable land is the place of unexplained phenomena, which could well hide terrifying secrets… In order to carry out her rescue operation, the biologist will be faced with choices that risk calling into question her own ambitions. , but also the future of humanity. Epic adventure, but also philosophical, The Invincible is inspired by Stanislaw Lem’s 1964 novel Planet of the Desert.. This author, cult for many fans of SF, was also at the origin of Solarisadapted to the cinema by Steven Soderbergh with George Clooney in the title role.

A total immersion on the planet Regis III thanks to virtual reality?

The first pictures of gameplay unveiled reveal a pair of futuristic binoculars that could possibly be reminiscent of a virtual reality headset. If such an exit can only delight us, it is however not yet confirmed even if as soon as the announcement of the game in 2019, the teams of Starward Industries had announced their intention to carry it in VR. It is clear that these first images augur well. Still a few months to wait before we can start exploring this unknown world on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC (Steam, GOG.com, Epic Games). Hopefully the result will live up to our expectations.
