“The Invincibles club”: the France 2 TV game is back with a new host

INTERVIEW

The return of a cult game from France Télévisions, but with a new host. The Invincibles Club returns Saturday evening on France 2, and on this occasion, Nagui gives way to Olivier Minne, also a regular on game shows. The animator will also be at the helm of Fort Boyardand he animates every day Everyone has a say. The principle of club of the invincibles is to pit anonymous people against the greatest champions of TV games.

A sum of 30,000 euros to be won

During the game, the anonymous first compete against each other to determine who will face the champions. And then they face individually the “Invincibles”, to try to win 30,000 euros. A concept that has a lot more to Olivier Minne. “What is specific is that the ‘Invincibles’ must make the decision to send one of their own against the candidate who has qualified to face them. And there, it is about strategy: who is going to win?”, he says at the microphone of Europe 1. “They are supposed to be invincible, so do not fear anything. But these are women and men who find themselves on a set”, adds animator.

“Some have strengths and weaknesses, like everyone else. When you see the great champions in the games, you always have the impression that they are charting their course, that they are unsinkable”, continues Olivier Minne, “but in this game, we see that they can doubt, even among the best”.

Olivier Minne finds a champion he knew well

Among the TV champions – the “Invincibles” – we find Marie-Christine and Sandrine, champions of Everyone wants to take its place. They had already participated in the version with Nagui. The two new ones are Bruno, the greatest champion of 12 strokes of noonand Grégory, winner of Everyone has a say, a program also presented by Olivier Minne. So the host was delighted to find one of his champions, but he remains impartial.

“What’s interesting when you’re a game host, and you end up with a candidate who is long-term because his performance is brilliant, is that ‘there is bound to be a bond of affection, of friendship that is forged,’ notes the host of France 2, “with always the requirement to remain impartial. I was very happy to find Grégory, he still has his tongue-in-cheek humour, and the champions got along very well.” The Invincibles Club is broadcast Saturday evening at 9:10 p.m. on France 2. Another number has already been recorded but we do not yet know its broadcast date.
