DECRYPTION – The company is targeting 2 billion in sales in baking, milling and ingredients by 2027.

A few weeks after the baguette became a UNESCO World Heritage Site, InVivo is stepping up its ambitions for its wheat sector. And especially in bakery-pastry-pastry (BVP) and milling. Inherited from the Soufflet group, which was acquired at the end of 2021 by the union of cooperatives, all these activities have just been grouped together within a single subsidiary.

Baptized “Episens”, it weighs 892 million euros, or 7.5% of the turnover of the agricultural giant InVivo (food, garden centres, wine, etc.). The idea was to integrate these companies from upstream to downstream, to increase synergies between three entities that operated independently”, supports Thierry Blandinières, CEO of InVivo. The goal? A doubling of the subsidiary’s turnover by 2027. And above all a return to profitability close to that of its competitors, around 8% gross operating margin, against 2.5% currently.
