One can’t help but think of the simultaneous release of AKI on Street Fighter 6: September will be, like it or not, the season of poisonous Chinese assassins with extended arms. It’s a bit like our Barbenheimer to us, the fighting fans.
It’s time for DDD-Duo Lon
While Duo Lon’s trailer mainly pits him against Najd, he also finds himself up against Ash Crimson, his freshly resurrected ex-tournament partner, and the reunion is…rather tempered. It remains to be seen whether the narrative framework of his clan, the Hizoku, will finally evolve. They’ve been chasing after Ron, their renegade leader, for 20 years now, without ever managing to get their hands on it.
With the upcoming release of Duo Lon, Season 2 of The King of Fighters XV is slowly but surely coming to an end. There remains only one final character planned for “winter 2023” without further details, which, for anyone with a calendar, obviously means December. SNK has yet to say whether their title will receive a third season next year.
