The Last of Us: 37 million games sold, new artwork for the multiplayer game

In 2023, the license The Last of Us will already blow out its tenth candle. Time flies and Naughty Dog intends to make this year an important step in the life of his favorite series. In a new blog post published on the studio’s official website, Neil Druckman looks back on the road traveled while telling us a bit about the future and the festivities planned for this tenth anniversary, including the release of the famous multiplayer game announced last summer.

The multiplayer game will soon give news

The first thing to remember here is that License The Last of Us now has 37 million sales worldwide, taking into account the two episodes on all platforms. A hell of a score that should continue to grow since the PC port of the remake of The Last of Us will be available from March 3.

In addition to this series and the upcoming broadcast of the television series on HBO, Neil Druckmann promises us that this anniversary will also be marked by the multiplayer game The Last of Us in preparation. For the moment, only one concept art had been unveiled, but today here is a second, which presents a beached liner and a pair of survivors. If it is still a little too early to talk about it, we are promised that news about this spin-off will arrive soon:

We’ll have a few fun surprises for you along the way, but later this year we’ll start giving you some details about our ambitious The Last of Us multiplayer game. With a team led by Vinit Agarwal, Joe Pettinati and Anthony Newman, the project promises to be a new and refreshing experience for our studio, but still driven by Naughty Dog’s passion for delivering incredible stories, characters, and gameplay. »

So we just have to be patient to get information about this experience.
