As the first season of The Last of Us is over, fans are already thinking about the sequel and already have an actress in mind to play Abby in season 2.

Barely the first season of The Last of Us is over that fans have already turned their eyes to the second round of episodes of the adaptation of the famous video game. Season 2 has already been ordered and it will partly adapt the second installment of the video game franchise, The Last of Us: Part II.
Longer and more complex, this second video game also introduces new characters including a major: that of Abby Anderson, played in the game by Laura Bailey. The latter also made an appearance as a nurse in the scene of the operating room where Joel (Pedro Pascal) kills the surgeon who was going to operate Ellie (Bella Ramsey) in the final episode.
Fans are already speculating which actress will play Abby in the sequel to the live-action adaptation and several names, including one in particular, have emerged on social media.
Which actress to play Abby in season 2?
And the actress in question is Shannon Berry, an actress who made a name for herself in the series Hunters and Offspring but who became best known for her role as Dot Campbell in the series The Wilds on Prime Video.
Fans thought of this 23-year-old Australian actress because she has a similar face to Abby and she mostly has a muscular build like the video game character. Some aficionados have already made comparative videos between Abby and Shannon Berry in The Wilds.
Especially since by looking a little more in the old tweets of the actress, the fans found one of her posts in which she already mentioned the character of Abby in 2020, when the game The Last of Us: Part II is out : “Okay, I’ve seen too many people say I look like Abby in The Last of Us and wow they’re pretty much right”.
And what tipped them off was that Neil Druckmann, the creator of the video game and co-showrunner of the series, followed the actress on Instagram! It was enough for fans to panic and think that Shannon Berry was chosen to play Abby.
Obviously, no information has been confirmed to date by HBO or the creators of the series. Especially since other names have circulated on the networks, such as Katy O’Brian (Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania), Florence Pugh, Erin Kellyman (Falcon and the Winter Soldier), Amber Midthunder or Rhonda Rousey again. It will be necessary to wait for official declarations to know the actress who will play Abby in the series The Last of Us.
