French actor Gaspard Ulliel has died after a skiing accident
Ulliel received the Prix Lumières for Best Actor for his role as the young Yves Saint Laurent.
(dpa) French actor Gaspard Ulliel is dead. He died at the age of 37 after a skiing accident, the French news agency AFP reported on Wednesday (January 19), citing his management and family. Consistent media reports said the accident happened on Tuesday afternoon in Savoy. Ulliel was seriously injured in a hospital in Grenoble in the south-east of the country. French Prime Minister Jean Castex wrote on Twitter that Ulliel and the cinema loved each other beyond measure. His performances will be seen with a heavy heart from now on.
