The LCI news channel uses images from the Fallout license to illustrate Russian weapons

LCI, the continuous news channel of the TF1 group, has been mocked for a few days on social networks for having illustrated Russian bombs with images from the license of Bethesda: fallout. A sequence that did not fail to make fans of the franchise laugh despite the sad situation that it highlights.

A mistake that had the effect of a bomb on twitter

During a program on September 19, “24h Pujadas”, the subject revolved around recent events concerning the invasion of Ukraine by Russia. One of the show’s journalists provided clarifications in response to certain questions about the use of Russian nuclear weapons.

It was about here small tactical nukes supposedly field-tested by the Russian military. If the substance of the remarks is not called into question (LCI was trying to debunk false information here), the illustration of these famous nuclear bombs is quite confusing.. LCI has indeed used images of the “Mini Nuke” of Fallout 4the post-apocalyptic role-playing game from Bethesda.

We can thus observe during this segment of the program images of this weapon declined in air purifier or in storage box. An error probably made via a Google search which highlights images taken from fallout. Unless the Russians have Fat Man to throw them, this is unlikely to be true, especially since in the game’s lore, these bombs weren’t invented until 2076.

Joking aside, we obviously hope that the dystopian scenario of the game does not occur during this conflict, which could not be more serious.
