Judith Williams will take a break from The Lion’s Den. The TV lioness is not involved in the shooting of seasons 14 and 15.

Judith Williams (51) will pause as an investor in the VOX founder show “Die Höhle der Löwen”. That gave the entrepreneur in a long Instagram post known, in which she also revealed the family reason for it: “Is there a better reason to take a break from ‘DHDL’ than to be there for your mother side by side? Not from my point of view.”

The 51-year-old, who had to mourn her father’s Alzheimer’s disease last January, continues: “We all fought so hard for mom and had to say goodbye to dad at the same time. And then you make peace and know it was his time. Moms It’s not time yet. […] We are walking a path that many have to walk, the fight against cancer. We look into each other’s eyes, without words, we are a team.” Addressing her mother, she writes: “My sisters and I, we are with the greatest love for you, mom, now and always. It looks good and we appreciate every hour that we hear your voice of wisdom and love.”

The broadcaster VOX has already confirmed Williams’ break due to her mother’s cancer. The TV lioness is not present during the current shooting of seasons 14 and 15 (broadcast in autumn 23/spring 24), it says on “VOX.de”. In the spring of 2023, the 13th season of “The Lion’s Den”, in which Williams is still involved, is scheduled to start.

Another lion paused

Most recently, former racing driver Nico Rosberg (37) announced a break in “The Lion’s Den”. At Instagram The ex-Formula 1 star also explained the reason: “I really want to concentrate fully on the many national and international start-ups in which we are already invested.”

A VOX spokeswoman said on his farewell: “We thank Nico Rosberg for five great seasons of ‘Die Höhle der Löwen’ and wish him every success with his upcoming projects.” She also leaves open a return. “And who knows: once a lion, always a lion – maybe he’ll join the lion pack again in one of the following seasons.”
