Kofler and Rosberg out, Janna Ensthaler and Tillman Schulz in: New staff for the upcoming season of “The Lion’s Den”.

Two new additions to the “Lion’s Den”. Janna Ensthaler and Tillman Schulz are investors in the next season of the VOX start-up show (also on RTL+). The broadcaster announced this in a statement. The new episodes start on April 4, 2023.

“The Lion’s Den”: These are the new investors

Janna Ensthaler worked as a management consultant and has already founded several companies herself. “Manager Magazin” lists her as one of the 100 most influential women in German business. “As a four-time founder, it is a matter close to my heart to pass on my experience, my knowledge and my expertise and to be able to accompany the success of exciting ideas and founders,” she says.

The Hamburg native focuses on investments in sustainable topics. She sees the fight against climate change as the main task of her generation. To this end, she launched the Green Generation Funds (GGF) in 2021. It primarily invests in companies that are looking for climate-friendly solutions for generating energy.

Tillmann Schulz youngest investor in “The Lion’s Den” history

At 33, Tillman Schulz is the youngest investor in the history of “The Lion’s Den”. The Dortmund native is the son of the boss of MDS Holding GmbH & Co. KG, which operates in the food business, among other things. He is the managing partner of several subsidiaries of the family business.

“As the managing partner of an international family business, I know that it is not easy to assert yourself on the market,” Schulz told VOX. “In an increasingly global world, competition can sometimes be very fierce. Therefore, I want to share my experience and knowledge and do my best to support the founders on their way to fulfilling their dreams and goals.”

Substitute for Kofler and Rosberg

The engagement of Ensthaler and Schulz became necessary because two lions turned their backs on the show. Nico Rosberg, 37, stops after five seasons. According to his own statement, the ex-racer wants to take care of the start-ups that he already supports.

Georg Kofler, 65, also leaves the show. The entrepreneur had shared an investor seat with Ralf Dümmel, 56, in the last season. Dümmel’s company DS Gruppe had previously been merged into Kofler’s company The Social Chain. According to VOX, Rosberg and Kofler are still open to future engagements.
