More than three years after its announcement, in March 2019, The Lord of the Rings: Gollum begins to be expected by lovers of the license imagined by JRR Tolkien. The latter still didn’t have a release date, despite a launch window narrowed to “Fall 2022” some time ago. As the year progresses, Daedalic decided to share the release date of The Lord of the Rings: Gollum, Frenchified in The Lord of the Rings: Gollum.
The Lord of the Rings: Gollum Release Date Announced
The German studio therefore explained that The Lord of the Rings: Gollum will be released on Thursday, September 1, 2022, on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Series. Regarding the Switch version, it will arrive later in the year, but does not have a specific date. Unfortunately, no new images have been shared to accompany this announcement.
While waiting to learn more, or rather to see more, know that the game can be added to your wishlist, so as not to miss its release.
As a reminder, The Lord of the Rings: Gollum will immerse us in a story that hasn’t been told in the novels, although briefly discussed. We will be able to learn more about Gollum’s journey from his slavery under the Dark Tower to his stay with the Elves of the Dark Forest. During this adventure, moral choices will have to be made, having consequences on the story, while the gameplay will put more emphasis on stealth, agility and reflection.
