The Lost Wild: Annapurna Interactive launches into the horror/survival game with dinosaurs

During its annual summer conference, Annapurna Interactive lifted the veil on several ongoing projects. Two are quite out of the publisher’s habits, with Bounty Starwhich we have already presented to you and The Lost Wild, the one we are going to talk about here. A title that smells good Jurassic Park, where you will probably have to run to avoid being bitten.

Hide and seek with the dinos

Headed by Great Ape Gamesa new British studio based in Brighton, The Lost Wild translates into a first person survival horror game. We will be immersed in a hostile world, where the objective will obviously be to survive by escaping the dinosaurs. If it will of course be necessary to use discretion and speed to avoid them, the title is intended to be “ immersive and cinematic where direct fights will usually end in failure.

For the moment, we only have a short trailer which serves above all to introduce us to the tension and the atmosphere of the title. The player will have to sneak around, stay alert, explore the environments, run and take shelter in various abandoned facilities that will be full of secrets. It will be possible to use non-lethal weapons to distract or occupy the dinosaurs but not direct attacks. As you have understood, the concept will mainly revolve around the game of cat and mouse, where you will be the main course.

For the moment, The Lost Wild is only available on PC. It will also be necessary to be patient since the developers are aiming for a release by 2024.
