The Mandalorian (Disney +): season 4 already written?


While season 3 of The Mandalorian has not yet been released on Disney+ (March 1 on the streaming platform), its creator Jon Favreau has revealed that the next one has already been written with a few surprises in store.

“Telling a complete story”

At the microphone of our colleagues from BFM TVJon Favreau indicates that the adventures of Din Djarin and Grogu are far from over and that he has already finished writing the entirety of season 4. “Season 4? Yes, it is already written. We need to know where we’re going to tell a full storyhe says. So we planned it, Dave Filoni and I. I wrote it during post-production to make it feel like a sequel and one complete story.”

The series’ writer, director and producer also said that this writing process is important to be consistent with other Star Wars series in production, such as Ahsoka And Skeleton CrewAnd “to understand everything that happens in the other series, because it all takes place in the same time frame”.

Since its launch in April 2020, The Mandalorian was a tremendous success for Disney+ and remains the most-watched series on the streaming platform with over 14 billion minutes watched. Season 3 will undoubtedly be one of the events of 2023, and this new chapter promises to be decisive for Grogu and Din Djarin, between returning to their roots, quest for redemption, power struggle and old enemies.
