The celebrities on “The Masked Singer” (always on Saturdays, from 8:15 p.m. live on ProSieben and on Joyn) had it all again on Saturday evening. This time Giovanni Zarrella (44) had the honor of pondering, together with Ruth Moschner (45) and Rea Garvey (48), which stars are hiding under the extravagant costumes. But even with the starfish, Moschner and Garvey doubted the moderator’s claim. While two people from the audience suspected Jeanette Biedermann (42) under the costume, Moschner, Garvey and Zarrella stayed with ex-Monrose singer Bahar (33). In addition, names like Vanessa Petruo (42) from the No Angels, Alice Merton (28) and Judith Williams (50) fell. Moschner couldn’t stop raving about the koala: “This voice is so brilliant.” The guessing team agreed: the celebrity under the cute costume is not from Germany. While Moschner guessed Robbie Williams (48), Garvey and Zarrella suspected classical musicians like Paul Potts (51) and Rolando Villazón (50) under the koala.

The orc received thunderous applause for his performance in Turkish. Since he had been singing in Italian for the past week, this time he caused a lot of confusion. As before, the name of Jana Ina Zarrella (45) was mentioned, which of course made guest judge Giovanni Zarrella ponder. The advice team also suspected Nazan Eckes (45), Michelle Hunziker (45) and Sarah Connor (41) under the costume. Once again the zebra shone with his outstanding voice. The guessing team suspected a comedian under the plush mask. Could it be Carolin Kebekus (41), Anke Engelke (56) or Tahnee (29)? In any case, Garvey was certain: he is in love with the zebra and chose it as his favorite costume of the sixth season!

At the beginning of the second four-way battle, the disco ball created a dance atmosphere on stage. As in show one, Garvey is “100 percent sure” that it can only be Jeanette Biedermann. In the case of Moschner and Zarrella, on the other hand, the names Vanessa Mai (29) and Ilse DeLange (44) were mentioned. The gorilla showed his soulful side this time, performing Tom Walker’s “Leave a Light On.” When advising, Moschner addressed her colleague Rea Garvey directly: “If you weren’t sitting here, I would think you are – also in terms of behavior.” Zarrella mistook the gorilla for Howard (76) or Wayne Carpendale (45). Florian Silbereisen (40) and Der Graf (52) were also thrown into the guessing pot.

“Möwe sings DJ Bobo, that’s amazing,” Opdenhövel enthused afterwards. But was the Swiss musician also hiding under the feather costume? “I assume it’s a comedian,” Zarrella was sure. Most of his fellow advisers agreed: Bastian Pastewka (49), Thomas Hermanns (59) and Mike Krüger (70) were suspected, but Ingo Zamperoni (47) and Cherno Jobatey (56) were also up for debate. The thorn devil completed the second four-way battle and caused standing ovations from the audience and the jury with his performance. Garvey could not do anything with his evidence, but threw Pur singer Hartmut Engler (60) into the room. Zarrella, on the other hand, is “sure” that the thorn devil is actor Mark Keller (56). Moschner is with Florian David Fitz (47).

After the audience vote, the starfish, the koala, the seagull and the thorny devil had to swim. In the end, the seagull, under which none other than ZDF presenter Cherno Jobatey was stuck, had the fewest votes: “I tell you guys, this is really great here,” enthused the 56-year-old after his unmasking. Ruth Moschner was spot on with her final guess.
