The riddles are solved: the Schuhschnabel gets the “The Masked Singer” victory and nobody expected the celebrity in the hedgehog costume.

On Saturday evening it was “The Masked Singer” (ProSieben, also at Joyn) time to strip down. Who on the guessing team figured out the true identities of the hedgehog, terry elephant, shoebill and Mystica (formerly Diamantula)? Many questions were answered in the final.

Two “The Masked Singer” experts supported Rea Garvey (50) and Ruth Moschner (47) in the final show. Actor Daniel Donskoy (33), the mole and winner of the last season, and citizen Lars Dietrich (50), aka Werewolf, took turns in the guessing round.

The terry cloth fan Elfie brought soul to the stage with “No Diggity”, including a rap part. Rea Garvey counted on Martina Hill (48) in the fluffy cuddly toy. The first costume Elfie had to take off was her trunk. Shortly before the unmasking, Ruth Moschner guessed Melissa Khalaj (33), as did the audience in the voting. Everyone was right, because the TV presenter was underneath Elfie’s costume.

“Can spiders be sexy?” The actor was enchanted by the performance of Mystica, the supposed spider creature from the Kelly Family. Ruth Moschner stuck to her assumption of Patricia Kelly (53). As in the last week, there was agreement in the guessing trio for the member of the extended singing family. Or did the Kellys take turns wearing the costume on a weekly basis? Mystica turned out to be the second mask, revealing the expected Patricia Kelly.

Luca Hänni was under the plumage

Helplessness still prevailed after the appearance of the hedgehog. “I think it’s so blatant. We’re in the final and we all have absolutely no idea who you are,” the rate boss was impressed. Rea Garvey could imagine Judith Williams (51). The trained opera singer’s good voice would suit the spiny animal. Daniel Donskoy sent the actresses Lisa-Marie Koroll (25) and Paula Kalenberg (36) into the race because both could also sing. Or maybe Stefanie Kloß (38) or Katja Riemann (59)? “The voice sounds familiar to me,” recalled Bürger Lars Dietrich, guessing Mieze Katz (44) from the band MIA. Wrong thought! Actress Felicitas Woll (43) was the hedgehog.

The Shoebill was chosen as the winner of the eighth season. “I’m hesitating a bit between rapper Alligatoah and Luca Hänni,” Ruth Moschner explained after the dazzling bird’s appearance. “Something happened today,” Rea Garvey found another clue. There was an ice cream truck in front of the studio, which could be a reference to Nico Santos (30). “I met Karl Lauterbach on the way here,” said Daniel Donskoy, referring to the Minister of Health in the blue bird costume. But under the feathers was the Swiss singer Luca Hänni (28).
