Meyers Manx is back, with a new all-terrain creation, and 100% electric!

The American brand had its moment of glory in the mid-1960s.

Electrified nostalgia at Meyers Manx!

An iconic American brand from the 1960s, Meyers Manx specialized in customizing Volkswagen Beetles, transforming them into small off-road buggies. In 2022, the brand is back, with the Meyers Manx 2.0 Electric which, as its name suggests, is designed for the electromobility market.

A new buggy advertised as light and fast, equipped for this with a 100% electric dual motor developing no less than 400 hp (and 325 Nm of torque). In terms of looks, the designers played the vintage card to the fullest, with a very refined interior and a “vintage” steering wheel. The whole is based on an aluminum monocoque, with independent rear suspension and disc brakes.

On the premium model, there should be a 40 kWh battery, enough to travel 480 km on a single charge. The manufacturer will also offer a more affordable model, with reduced performance, including a 20 kWh battery, all for a weight of 680 kg. All-terrain requires, it will be here a vehicle with four-wheel drive.

The American brand indicates that it will offer its new Meyers Manx 2.0 Electric from 2023, but production will then be limited to only 50 so-called “experimental” copies. Series production should begin the following year.
