Inevitably, “modest”, it must be said quickly, but this is a processor frighteningly powerful with 64 cores and 128 threads.

Already mentioned several times in our columns, the Threadripper PRO 5000WX are the logical continuation of AMD’s high-end offer. Logical continuation, because they integrate the Zen 3 architecture, already implemented on the Ryzen, which have been more accessible for several months.

A price similar to that of the 3995WX

At present, three processors in this range have been announced by AMD from the Threadripper PRO 5965WX, its 24 cores and 48 threads to the 5995WX (64/128) through the 5975WX (32/64).

The three processors were spotted on sale in China, and on Twitter, Hoang Anh Phu presents snapshots of the CPUs in a box. The beefiest sits at 47,000 yuan, or roughly $7,000, while the 5975WX is $3,589 and the 5965WX is $2,572.

Although slightly higher, the price is still close to those used today on the Threadripper PRO 3000WX. Each model in this line has the same number of cores and threads, but they have to make do with the Zen 2 architecture.
