the motions of censure examined Monday, another 49.3 expected quickly

The examination of the motions of censure from the left and the RN is expected Monday afternoon in the Assembly, before the rapid triggering of a new 49.3 from the government on the continuation of the draft budget for Social Security, according to corroborating sources .

Subject to formal validation by the conference of presidents, the deputies will discuss Monday afternoon on the motions of censure tabled by the left (LFI, communists and environmentalists, without the PS) then the RN, in reaction to 49.3 triggered by the government on the revenue side of the 2024 Social Security draft budget.

Like the previous two, these motions have little chance of succeeding, the LR group saying it excludes bringing down the government on a budgetary text.

If the motions are rejected, parliamentarians will then tackle the spending part of this Social Security financing bill (PLFSS). A new 49.3 is expected fairly quickly, Monday evening or Tuesday at the latest, according to a ministerial source, which highlights the constitutional deadlines for transmission to the Senate.

A parliamentary source is also counting on Monday evening for this fifteenth 49.3 of Élisabeth Borne, in order to have the text adopted without a vote, in this National Assembly without an absolute majority.

The Assembly will then take up the second part of the State budget on Tuesday, where the credits of the various ministries are presented, with, again, a new 49.3 on the horizon.
