On paper, the Motorola Edge 30 Neo is far from standing out from other devices in its price segment. Still, it is an interesting proposition in the mid-range market. Small and light, the smartphone benefits from a good quality OLED screen, reasonable autonomy and knows how to take advantage of its modest SoC. Without reaching the heights of some competitors in photography, it delivers very correct shots during the day, even if it deteriorates when there is a lack of light. It therefore has real assets to seduce those looking for a compact mobile at an affordable price.

Google’s Pixel 6a does not demerit compared to Pixel 6 and 6 Pro. This smartphone, which is the “affordable” version, convinces with undeniable advantages: good quality screen, more than satisfactory performance and very controlled photo component. It also has the merit of being IP67 certified, borrowing this characteristic from high-end terminals. What’s missing is a bit faster charging, higher screen brightness and a more generous refresh rate. But at its launch price, few – or even no smartphones – manage to do as well to date, with the essential guarantee of ensuring long-term software monitoring.
