“Der Bergdoktor”: That’s why the Christmas days will be difficult for Monika Baumgartner

“Der Bergdoktor” actress Monika Baumgartner, 71, knows fans of the series in the role of Martin’s (Hans Sigl, 53) mother Lisbeth. In an interview with “Freizeitwoche”, the actress talks about the loss of her own mother Gertrud last year – just before Christmas. “My mom died on December 17. It wasn’t very edifying and that makes the time sad,” says Baumgartner in an interview. As much as she would be looking forward to Christmas, she also looks forward to the coming time “with tears in her eyes”.

“The closer the day gets, the heavier the heart becomes,” says the actress. After all, she doesn’t have to get through this time alone, she has a close relationship with her sister Waltraud and the two support each other. And: The actress continues a common tradition with her mother even after her death. The two used to love to bake cookies together. Now she would bake the recipes from her mother’s book alone, as she tells the magazine.

“Storm of Love” + “Red Roses”: Winter sports mess up the ARD program – both series are cancelled

“Storm of Love” and “Red Roses” fans have to do without their favorite telenovelas for the rest of the week, because on two consecutive days they will be removed from the ARD program and give way – again – to a sporting event. While the last failures were due to the World Cup in Qatar, this time it is at least a different type of sporting event that is causing the failure: the biathlon, snowboarding and ski jumping world cups.

The biathlon starts on Thursday, December 15: The first shows the men’s 10 km jump at 2 p.m., followed by the men’s and women’s snowboard world cup in the parallel giant slalom from 3:35 p.m. On Friday, December 16, at 2:05 p.m., the women will start in the 7.5 km sprint. The men’s qualification for the Ski Jumping World Cup will be broadcast from 3:40 p.m. On Monday, December 19, “Red Roses” and “Storm of Love” will be broadcast regularly again. If you really don’t want to do without your favorite series, der:die can access the media library and watch the episodes online in advance.

“Storm of Love”: Carolin and Vanessa want to start over in Copenhagen

“Storm of Love” couple Carolin (Katrin Anne Heß, 43) and Vanessa (Jeannine Gaspár, 30) have finally come together after a long back and forth. The relationship is already being heavily discussed among the fans: one side is happy about the representation of queer people in their favorite telenovela and judges the tentative development of their love as very realistic. The other side would have wished for a happy ending with Max (Stefan Hartmann, 32) for Vanessa and had been annoyed by the constant ups and downs of the two women for a long time.

But not only the fans have different opinions about the romance of the two: Even in Bichlheim itself, not everyone is so accepting of a queer love. Vanessa in particular suffers from the whisperings of the village community, which also doesn’t go unnoticed by Carolin. She suggests to her friend that she leave Bichlheim and try a new start in Copenhagen – an idea that Vanessa is convinced of pretty quickly. However, she did not consider her ex-boyfriend Max, who is anything but enthusiastic about this development. The next few weeks will show how Vanessa and Carolin ultimately decide.

“Der Bergdoktor”: Martin has to mourn the loss of many people close to him

“Der Bergdoktor” season 16 is about to start – and the situation for Martin (Hans Sigl, 53) could not be worse: With the official departure of actress Ines Lutz, 39, her character and great love of Martin, Anne, the Gruber farm. But the doctor does not only have to mourn this loss: his daughter Lilli (Ronja Forcher, 26) has also submitted the resignation and wants to stand on her own two feet and last but not least the departure of his son Johann, who with Franziska (Simone Hanselmann, 43) to New York is pulled, Martin hits hard.

His grief is so great that he even turns his back on the Gruberhof and retires to a mountain hut. There he tries to process his feelings alone, while his mother Lisbeth (Monika Baumgartner, 71) misses her son sorely. While the first episode of the new season will only be broadcast on ZDF on Thursday, December 29th, it should already be clear that the fans have to be prepared for an extremely emotional start.

“Red Roses”: Remo Schulze joins the ensemble of the telenovela

“Rote Rosen” fans are enthusiastic about the new member of the telenovela cast: Remo Schulze, 34, introduces himself in an Instagram post from the official series account – and is already making the hearts of the viewers beat faster. From the beginning of February Schulze can be seen in the role of Jorik Eilers, a single father and craftsman. Some fans may still remember him from other productions: the actor played Timo Mendes in the ARD series “Verbotene Liebe” for almost two years and has also had guest appearances in other well-known series – including “In aller Freundlich”, “Schloss Einstein” and “Police call 110”.

The actor already seems to have conquered some hearts on Instagram. “Oha! The second stroke of luck after Hardy Krüger Jr.!” Writes an enthusiastic fan. Others are happy about the unexpected reunion: “I know him from ‘Verbotene Liebe’! Great! That gives hope for a good season.” The viewers still have to be patient: the new episodes of “Rote Rosen” will not be broadcast until 2023 – based on the comments, most fans can hardly wait for the new year.
