Dramatic twist in The Mysteries of Love! One of the stars of the franchise since Hélène and the boys has indeed taken to her social networks to announce her departure from the crazy series, broadcast new every Sunday from 8 p.m. on TMC…
Philippe Vasseur leaves José behind
It was Philippe Vasseur, the interpreter of José, who revealed via a video posted on Facebook his upcoming release of the fiction created by Jean-Luc Azoulay. Visibly moved, the actor addresses his fans directly to explain his decision to leave.
He begins his intervention by declaring in front of the camera that this is not his first take to record this sequence… He continues shortly after, quickly getting to the heart of the matter: “This video is also made to say goodbye. Because I’m leaving the series, I’m stopping.“
“I put aside projects that I have had for a very long time, for years, and I want to carry them out because I am still very, very young, then confides Philippe Vasseur. So there you go, I’m going to try. We’ll see but I’m going to live my life…“

“So I say goodbye to you. (…) I’ll see you soon (…) In the meantime, once again I’ll give you a big hug because 32 years isn’t nothing! (laughs) It’s strong (…)“, concludes the main person concerned, having been an integral part of the saga since its launch in 1992!
As a reminder, Philippe Vasseur played José for the first time in Hélène and the boys, then carried this role through the various series recounting the crazy adventures of the gang such as Le Miracle de l’amour, Les Vacances de l’amour and , finally, The Mysteries of Love.
A huge chapter thus closes for fiction… How will José leave his loved ones behind? What will happen to his great childhood love Bénédicte, his best friend Nicolas or his conquests Cathy and Laly? Without a doubt, the character’s farewell on screen will in any case be very moving. To be continued…
