Garmin is launching a new connected watchVenu 3, designed for sport, but also, more surprisingly, for napping.
The new Garmin watch arrives in stores no less than two years after the previous model. The brand is never short of good ideas!
Garmin Venu, third of the name
Two years ago, Garmin launched its second generation of Venu connected watches, a more urban sports watch, equipped with an AMOLED screen and marketed at 399 euros. For the start of the 2023 school year, the manufacturer is renewing its catalog, with a third version, still equipped with an OLED screen.
The new Garmin Venu 3 is available in two versions, namely a “basic” model of 45 millimeters, with a 1.4-inch screen (454 x 454 pixels) and 14 days of autonomy, but also an “S “, more compact, with a 41 millimeter case, a 1.2 inch screen (390 x 390 pixels) and an autonomy reduced to 10 days. Both have a speaker and microphone to support voice calls.
Health, sport… and a siesta!
Here we find a watch with a circular touch screen, not to mention three buttons installed on the right side. As for the GPS, no multiband here, but a multi-GNSS tracking compatible with GPS and Galileo (which incidentally has surprising uses). “Body battery” monitoring is part of it, with heart rate measurement thanks to the latest generation sensor already introduced by the fēnix 7 Pro.
The new Garmin watch is obviously full of features related to health and sports activities, but it also emphasizes rest and sleep. Indeed, the Garmin Venu 3 will establish a sleep score, with various tips as a bonus, but it will also calculate the sleep time the user needs, and to what extent his 20-minute nap has invigorated him.
Also note the arrival of a mode dedicated to people in wheelchairs, which will then count pushes instead of steps taken, not to mention specially adapted activity monitoring.
The new Garmin Venu 3 and Venu 3S watches are available for sale at the same price of 499.99 euros.
