Here are the most anticipated smartphones of 2022. This year, the most anticipated products are to be found on the side of Samsung, Xiaomi, Apple, but also Oppo, Google, Oppo and Realme.

Some models have already been leaked a lot, we’ll get to that in this article. For others, we only know their name and a few elements at most.

The big launches for the coming months

Below are the approximate dates for next year’s big launches. When they are the product of rumors, these dates are to be taken with a little tweezers all the same.

However, some brands have already announced conferences, which allows us to be a little more certain of the launch of their smartphone. Others are used to organizing an event on such and such a date.

  • Apple iPhone 14: fall 2022
  • Google Pixel 6a: Spring / Summer 2022
  • OnePlus 10 and 10 Pro: January 2022
  • Samsung Galaxy S22: January or February 2022
  • Samsung Galaxy S21 FE: January 2022
  • Xiaomi 12: launch in China on December 28
  • Realme GT 2 Pro: release January 4, 2022
  • Oppo Find X 4 Pro: first quarter 2022

Samsung galaxy s22

Over the months, the Galaxy S22, S22 + and S22 Ultra begin to take shape more precisely. If the S22 and S22 + seem to be heading towards a design very close to the S21, with the exception of a possible glass back, the S22 Ultra should decide with the existing one.

The S22 is also expected to be all slightly smaller than the S21. The S Pen could take a more important place in the range, with possibly a dedicated slot in the S22 Ultra.

Samsung Galaxy S21 FE

The Galaxy S21 FE was already on our list last year. This is to say if we have waited all year. He shouldn’t have to wait very long: the S21 FE should be showing on January 4th.

On the menu, a slightly lighter S21 since it would opt for an all-plastic back, a single possible 5G version and a photo part that would take its load of concessions to lower the price.

iPhone 14

Even if their launch is still far away, the iPhone 14 already seem capable of surprising us with their possible name. In 2022, in fact, it looks like bye bye to the iPhone mini to accommodate an iPhone 14 Max.

For the rest, it is difficult to predict what the apple brand has in store for us. According to some rumors, the time to get rid of the notch has finally come. Considering the relatively small change brought by the iPhone 13 compared to the iPhone 12, one thing is certain, Apple is expected on more profound changes.

Xiaomi 12 and Redmi Note 11

The Xiaomi 12 will be the first Xiaomi flagship to forget about the Mi, still present in the Mi 11 from last year. We already know something for sure about this model, the SoC that will equip it, a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. Design side, it should stay in line with the Mi 11. We also expect the presence of a fast charge, so appreciated by Xiaomi. Even if the brand has already communicated on 200 W, we are betting on our share on 120W.

For slightly more contained budgets, Xiaomi should market its Redmi Note 11 range, already presented in China, at the start of the year. To put it simply: the Note 11 will most certainly set the bar very high in 2022 on the entry-level and mid-range segments.

Google Pixel 6a

It has been talked about a lot in the wake of the launch of the Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro, and then not much since. Some sources would see him abandon everything that makes the salt of the Pixel 6, his Google Tensor, while others evoke a level of performance equivalent to his two elders.

One thing is certain, Google’s mid-range will be tasked with retaining some of their strengths, such as their good photo quality or their excellent battery life.

Oppo Find X4 Pro

The Oppo Find X3 Pro had set the bar very high, and Oppo seems determined to concoct a heir worthy of its name with the Oppo Find X4 Pro.

For the occasion, the brand has created a chip dedicated to photo quality, the MariSilicon X. It should ensure a beautiful duo alongside the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 from Qualcomm. The Oppo Find X4 Pro is also expected in the photo, since its predecessor had offered the best macro mode on the market, a microscope mode.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Z Fold 4

Unlike last year, almost no information has been leaked on Samsung’s upcoming folding cars. If we follow the Korean giant’s schedule, they could be announced around August 2022.

In terms of the expected changes, we can expect a further drop in price on both models, which would bring the Z Flip 4 closer to the entry of the top of the range and the Z Fold 4 closer to the domain of the buyable.

We do not hide our wish that the Z Fold 4 improves its camera under the screen (if it keeps this technology) and that we find in its tick a slot for S Pen, the story that these two features become really usable. .

The future Iqoo, Realme and Nothing smartphones

Beyond the highly anticipated smartphones that we have just told you about, some surprises could still mark the year to come. We think, for example, of Vivo’s sub-brand, Iqoo, which could potentially prepare for its arrival in Europe for 2022.

Another brand that could launch on the European market next year: Nothing, whose first product we really appreciated, the Ear headphones (1), could prepare its first smartphone.

Realme GT 2 Pro

Finally, let’s not forget Realme, which will launch its first flagship this year, the Realme GT 2 Pro, which will offer an ultra wide-angle with a viewing angle of 150 degrees, the widest ever seen on a smartphone.
