It’s been several months now that reports have been rolling in about Apple’s upcoming iPhone 15s, revealing little by little everything you need to know about the company’s new high-end smartphones. Just before the official presentation, which will be held tomorrow evening, Tuesday September 12 at 7 p.m., our colleagues from MacRumors obtained the exact dimensions of each device.
According to their information, each iPhone 15 will be lighter than its predecessor. The classic and Plus models will not benefit from major changes, since it is mainly the Pro and Pro Max versions which should be radically different. However, this decrease in weight will not result in any reduction in the thickness of the devicesand this will be even more important on the most expensive models.
The iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max adopt completely different dimensions
According to information from MacRumors, which corroborates other sources that we have already mentioned, the iPhone 15 Pro will weigh only 188 grams, compared to 206 grams for the iPhone 14 Pro. In question, the use of a titanium frame, which replaces the old stainless steel frame. The Xiaomi 14 Pro and Galaxy S24 Ultra should also benefit from such a change.
For its part, the iPhone 15 Pro Max will weigh only 221 grams, compared to 240 grams for the previous model. This is also abouta drastic change for the device, which was often considered too heavy.
Despite this reduction in weight, you should not expect a reduced thickness. This is even increased on the two Pro models. While the iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max were just 7.85mm thick, the new iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max will increase to 8.25mm. While this may not seem like much, the difference will probably be felt once the smartphone is in our hand.
