James Gunn (Guardians of the Galaxy) and Peter Safran have taken over DC Studios and with them, change is now! The duo, which is a “great opportunity” for this universe according to Margot Robbie (Harley Quinn), is already upsetting all the projects under construction within Warner.
As we reported a little earlier, and against all odds it must be said, Superman Man of Steel 2 would be in danger and the return of Henry Cavill at the same time. A surprising decision since in October, the actor warmed the fans to white on his comeback. A choice that questions all the more that Man of Steel and Henry Cavill were among the best things that happened to the DCU.
According to The Hollywood Reporter and their highly reliable sources, more heads are being cut off as part of the DCU’s complete overhaul. As it stands, Wonder Woman 3 would be stalled and even totally buried in its current form. After submitting his vision to James Gunn, Peter Safran and the Co-Presidents/CEOs of Warner Bros. Pictures, Michael De Luca and Pamela Adbdy, director Patty Jenskins was told that “It didn’t fit with the new plans”. Even if it does not seem to be the root of the problem, this cancellation would allow the passage to save tens of millions at Warner.
