If it is not expected before January 5, when it will be launched in China
, the OnePlus 10 Pro is obviously already in the hands of a few lucky few, who took the opportunity to make it pass a battery of tests.

This new high-end smartphone would therefore have been referenced on the application of benchmarking Geekbench, code name “NE2210”, and lets observe the performance of its processor. Note that at the time of this writing, the corresponding page no longer appears on the site; take this information with a pinch of salt.

A disappointing Snapdragon 8 Gen 1?

We knew it, but the Geekbench sheet confirms it: the OnePlus 10 Pro will be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 recently launched by Qualcomm. The model tested here also adds the services of 12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM. But OnePlus should obviously offer other configuration options.

Thus this test copy comes out with 976 points in single-core test and 3,469 points in multicore. A result… disappointing to say the least, when compared to the one we obtained on its big brother the OnePlus 9 Pro which, on the same protocol, left with 1,129 points in mono and 3,654 points in multi.

However, previous tests carried out on a smartphone prepared by Qualcomm and intended to test the capabilities of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 confirm that the main advantage of the chip does not lie in the speed of its processor – moreover sufficient. It is rather on its graphics capabilities and, above all, on the performance of NPU (dedicated to AI) that the difference will be most marked with the Snapdragon 888.

Add to this that the OnePlus 10 Pro which would have gone on Geekbench 5 probably does not benefit from the same firmware which will animate the products which will find the way of the general public. In short: there is nothing to worry about at the moment. As usual, you can count on us to go through it all in a full test when the OnePlus 10 and OnePlus 10 Pro are available in France.
