While the members of the final jury can enjoy their private residence, Tania, Nicolas, Quentin, Frédéric and Julie will have to avoid elimination during the council meeting this Tuesday, May 30, in order to be able to take up the challenge. Reminder of the rules: to win the event, finalists must find the landmarks marked on a map. Then, they must look within a radius of twenty paces for a beacon displaying a number and a color. This tag indicates the number of steps and the direction adventurers must take to find a dagger. The precious sesame will allow them to qualify for the next event: the posts.
But the production can always add its grain of sand. It’s just a matter of time. If the adventurers drag on too much, the event can be postponedas producer Julien Magne explained in 2022 to Tele-Leisure : “The only limit we set ourselves, it’s night falling.” A parameter that depends a lot on the adventurers. “It has happened that Denis Brogniart calls the adventurers back to the table to remind them of the rules of the game and put things in perspective. Because after a few hours of fruitless research, the adventurers lose their lucidity. Denis therefore tries to take stock with them”continues Julien Magne.

Candidates had to retake the test the next day
This rule has already been applied in the past. “In season 7, there were two adventurers left in the race, Maryline and Simon. When night fell, we interrupted the test and they slept on the spot before resuming it the next day”, recalls Julien Magne. On the contrary, other candidates passed the test in record time : it took about twenty minutes for Francis, from season 5 (Koh Lanta: Pacific), and Frédéric, from season 8 (Koh Lanta: Caramoan) for them to find their object.
