“The Orville” is considered by many fans of the “Star Trek” franchise as the unofficial heir to the throne of the old series – accordingly, the audience in Germany was desperately waiting for the release of the third season of the brilliant Trek homage by “Family Guy” creator Seth MacFarlane .
ProSieben is showing the third season of “The Orville” in Germany for the first time
Now the new episodes launched on the US market with the Disney streaming service Hulu have arrived in Germany with a considerable delay – but not as expected at Disney +: Without much announcement, ProSieben brought the first episode of “The Orville: New Horizons” to German Free -TV – already on January 2, 2023. On January 9, the same channel will continue at 10:30 p.m. with episode 2 of the new season.
The Orville: Free Joyn stream not in the original sound
Anyone who missed the start of the new episodes on free TV due to the poor information available on the subject can watch the episode on the ProSiebenSat.1 streaming service Joyn, which fortunately does not require a paid membership with Joyn+ Plus. For fans of the original sound, however, this is still bitter – because the English-language soundtrack cannot be set with Joyn.
Alternatively, with a little trick, it is possible to stream the entire third season of “The Orville” on Disney+ – in German or in English!
