The Outlander series will definitely come to an end after its 8th season. If it will soon be time to say goodbye to Sam Heughan in the skin of Jamie Fraser, the 42-year-old actor has already landed a role in a series to the tunes of Sex / Life on Netflix.
After season 7, expected on Netflix in June 2023, Outlander will then present its eighth and final season. Although author Diana Gabaldon’s writings left viewers envisioning a new round of episodes, Sam Heughan (Jamie Fraser) justdestroy the last hopes of the fans. Since 2014, the 42-year-old actor has lent his features to Jamie Fraser. If it is currently difficult to imagine him in the skin of another character, fans must however prepare to find him in a totally different universe.
As he has just announced on social networks, the actor has just land a role in a psychological thrillercurrently expected on Starz and Channel 4. It includes the distribution of The Couple Next Doora series based on the Dutch film The New Neighbors, released in 2017. Sam Heughan shared about his excitement at the idea of starting this new projectthrough a press release: “I’m especially excited to be able to work with Eagle Eye Drama and director Dries Vos again. The Couple Next Door : Sam Heughan will play a married man victim of infidelity
In this thriller in which there will be, a priori, as many dramas as sexy scenes, Sam Heughan will lend his features to Danny, a traffic policeman married to Becka, a yoga teacher played on screen by Jessica de Gouw. When Evie (Eleanor Tomlinson) and Pete (Alfred Enoch) move into the upscale suburban neighborhood where they live, the two couples quickly bond. However, the good agreement may only be short-lived since Becka will quickly allow herself a hot night with Evie, their new neighbor. According to the first echoes, the series would have similarities with the universe of The Affair. We must therefore expect a real psychological thriller, where the viewer will be led to discover the most unacknowledged desires of the characters. For the time being, neither the start date of filming nor the release of the project have been communicated.
