The Outlast Trials gets a bloody new gameplay trailer and announces a closed beta

We can say that the discrete The Outlast Trials particularly appreciate the Gamescom to talk about him. During the 2021 edition, we learned of its postponement then, after a long silence, we find the title of Red Barrels a year later, with gameplay and the announcement of a closed beta.

Foursome madness

During the Opening Night Live, the Montreal studio gratifies us with a new video where gameplay and cinematic scenes mingle. And the least we can say is that gore and madness, two major characteristics of the license, are fully present in this third episode which, we remember, can feature up to four players simultaneously.

The plot takes place during the Cold War and the characters played are subjected to physical and psychic experiments on behalf of the Murkoff Corporation. Throughout the video, we can see the multitude of traps, dangers, and fearsome individuals ready to butcher you at the slightest misstep, within the secret complex where the subjects are held.

Regarding the closed beta, we know that it will last from October 28 to November 1, but the dates and terms of registration are yet to be defined. And if the output of The Outlast Trials is still officially set to 2022, the announcement almost sounds like a release window pushed back to 2023.
