It is a real drama which took place in England. This Wednesday, December 21, a Briton named Damien Bendal admitted in Derby court to having murdered His wife, Terri Harris35, her two children Lacey Bennett, 11 years old, and John Paul Bennett13 years old, as well as one of their friends Connie Gent, 11 years old. The killing took place at their home in the town of Killamarsh on the night of September 18-19, 2021. The 32-year-old also admitted to having raped little Lacey while she was “dying”.
“The defendant brutally murdered Terri Harris, who was in her early pregnancy, her two children from a previous relationship, and Connie Gent, a friend of Lacey’s who happened to be in the house for a sleepover.”declared before the court the prosecutor Louis Mably, as reported by our colleagues from the DailyMail. “The circumstances are truly hideous. These are brutal and cruel attacks on a woman and three children”he continued, before specifying that the latter had been killed in cold blood with claw hammer blows. “He struck them with such ferocity that their skulls were shattered”, explained the prosecutor. And to conclude: “It was abundantly clear that none of the victims stood a chance.”
“I just killed four people”
After his crime, Damien Bendall allegedly took the Xbox from young John’s room, called a cab, and went to trade the console for drugs, leaving his four victims dead in the house. In the car, he allegedly told the driver that his night had not been “too bad, a bit crazy” before certifying that he had “just spent time with his family, really”. The next day, around 7 a.m., the murderer would have called the emergency services himself. “I just need to report a crime. In fact, I need the police and an ambulance now because I just killed four people”, he would have assured on the phone. At the scene of the tragedy, once the police arrived, Damien Bendall reportedly told them which room each of the four bodies was in, before asking them for a cigarette.
