Kate Winslet has taken a liking to HBO miniseries. After “The Mare of Easttown” the next prank is to follow with “The Palace”.

Kate Winslet (46) will appear in another miniseries after the critically acclaimed crime thriller “The Mare of Easttown”. The Oscar winner’s latest project is listening according to the US site “Deadline” to the name “The Palace”, in addition to the leading role, Winslet will also produce the limited drama series. The idea came from “Succession” creators Will Tracy and Frank Rich, with Tracy also acting as showrunner. “The Queen” director Stephen Frears (81) is said to be shooting the episodes.

According to the report, “The Palace” is set within the palace walls of a totalitarian regime and shows its power expansion over the course of a year. It would be Winslet’s fourth collaboration with HBO as part of a miniseries: “Mildred Pierce” was released in 2011, and she received the Emmy for “Best Actress” in 2021 for “The Mare of Easttown”. According to Deadline, another HBO limited series starring Winslet is in the works with the novel adaptation Trust.
