The passage of the Fiona storm kills one in Guadeloupe


PARIS, Sept 17 (Reuters) – A man was killed in Guadeloupe on Friday during tropical storm Fiona, which caused flooding, the prefecture said in a statement on Saturday.

“The flooding of the Pres River washed away a Basse-Terre dwelling and its occupant”; the man was “found dead”, authorities said on Twitter. (Report Elizabeth Pineau)
