By the way, what is the story of Percy Jackson?

If you are not familiar with the literary universe of Percy Jacksonnor old films, here is how the story presents itself:

Percy is a 12-year-old teenager who, behind his appearance as a normal schoolboy, is in reality a demigod – because the son of a famous god from mythology (we’ll let you find out which one). When he and his mother are attacked by a minotaur, reality gradually reveals itself. Helped by Grover, his best friend who is in fact a satyr whose mission is to protect him, he takes refuge in a colony, that of the Half-Bloods. There he meets Annabeth, one of Athena’s daughters, he discovers his origins, but he also understands that Zeus considers him guilty of having stolen his lightning bolt. The Percy-Grover-Annabeth trio embarks on a great journey to find this lightning.

Is the new adaptation faithful?

The two Percy Jackson films, with Logan Lerman, Alexandra Daddario and Brandon T. Jackson, were far from unanimous among fans of the literary saga. Even the author, Rick Riordan, was among the detractors.

The series, on the other hand, seems much more worthy of the literary saga: press reviews, to date, give it a score of 97% according to the Rotten Tomatoes summary; a very high score from 34 reviews.

I have to say that Percy Jackson and the Olympians has a major ace up his sleeve: Rick Riordan. The author of the books is simply the co-creator of the series, alongside Jonathan E. Steinberg.

Can we see Percy Jackson with children?

Percy Jackson remains a youth saga, the adaptations of which can therefore easily be seen with the family. The series, however, contains some action sequences, combat sequences, comparable to violence. The series is therefore not recommended for children under 12 years old. Moreover, Percy Jackson can also be seen in adulthood, especially when we grew up with these books; but also to discover this universe.

A season 2 for Percy Jackson?

As of this date, Disney+ has not announced either the renewal or cancellation of its series Percy Jackson. The reviews are very positive, the audiences remain to be seen. A season 2 is possible.
