The perfect companion for the commute: Aldi is reducing folding e-bikes by 41 percent

Spring is getting closer and so is the cycling season. You can stock up on these at Aldi, as high-quality e-bikes are always heavily discounted in the online shop. It’s worth buying now before prices rise again in spring.

If you’ve decided to cycle to work more often this year, the discounter has a particularly good offer for you. There you can secure the EasyStar Gala folding e-bike from Llobe for the savings price of 1,229 euros. Most recently, Aldi was charging 2,099 euros, a whopping 870 euros more.

The wheels of the foldable e-bike are 20 inches and a brushless 250-watt rear hub motor is used. You don’t have to remove the lithium-ion battery built into the frame to charge it and it will be completely full again in 6 hours.

The battery has a capacity of 360 watt hours. According to the manufacturer, this allows you to cover a range of up to 60 kilometers and reach a speed of up to 25 kilometers per hour. The e-bike is not suitable for long bike tours, but it is perfectly designed for life in the city.

You can simply fold the frame and fold in the pedals and take the 21 kilogram bike with you on the train. Due to its compact size, it can also be easily stored in the office or at home. This means you don’t have to worry about your bike being stolen by brazen thieves.

Shimano gears and LCD display

The gears are a Shimano derailleur gears with 7 gears. This is operated via a twist grip on the right side of the handlebar. Brakes are installed at the front and rear. These are aluminum disc brakes.

This bike from Llobe is a rock-solid e-bike. The mid-motor provides good support power and the battery capacity is appropriate for the price. Compared to high-priced bikes, it is in the middle range. In addition, the installed components are neat and sometimes come from well-known manufacturers.

Although with higher-priced bikes you get more powerful disc brakes, higher-quality components and engines from established manufacturers, you can easily end up paying a few thousand euros more. We think that the e-bike is completely sufficient for going to work, shopping, etc.
